Choosing Life Care Center of Old Hickory Village for my dad has been one of the best decisions we’ve made. This facility is very up to date and has a very homely feeling when you walk in. During the holiday season the Christmas tree in the front lobby extending to the skylight. Activities are planed for most days of the week, where patients can participate in games, church services, mid week Bible studies, they play movies and local guest come to sing. The nursing staff is welcoming, knowledgeable, and very attentive to staff needs. The therapy staff are very encouraging with exercises and progression with patients debilities. Many of the patient returned from past visited do to the care they received while being at life care.

The facility is located in the heart of Nashville. It is a beautiful building, looks nothing like a typical nursing home more like a hotel vibe. It is a clean building, no smells. They keep their patients engaged with daily activities and daily therapy. Nurses are decent, don is strong, ED is amazing. Overall it is a top top facility highly recommend it for anyone looking for short term or long term nursing or rehab services.

My mom has been here for over 4 weeks and it has been a great experience. Thanksgiving party, Christmas party and all the activities are so much fun. Mom loves therapy, she could barely walk before she came here now she's walking and everything. Mom loves Jennifer the nurse and J the tech, shout-out to Eddie in therapy. The building is well kept, administrator is easy to talk to, don is awesome . Thank God for Life Care.❤️

Walk through this facility with me. The exterior of the building looks brand new, all one story so it is easy to access for residents (and visitors). Step in the front lobby, where you are greeted with a happy, smiling receptionist. Heading to the patient units, walk past the two story sky light, shining down on a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Center of the building hosts a dining room, where you can often see daily entertainment such as a movie, sing-alongs, live music, bingo, etc...The facility offers both private and semi-private rooms, depending on each residents need. The nurses are knowledgeable, efficient, and hard working. Therapy staff will push you to limits you didn't know were possible, with the goal of discharging a patient in better condition than their baseline.

This place was the worst experience for our family ever. My grandmothers wound dressing were not changed properly. You can never get ahold of anyone. We told them we wanted her transferred to the ER multiple times because of concerns and it wasn’t done until all her nursing days were used up and her condition was worse. Avoid this place we got horrible care and neglect and then pushed out the door. Now they want to take the rest of her leg. Not enough staff to care for the patients. I slept there most nights I was the one helping my grandmother transfer, change her bed, clean her room, etc. 10 grand a month Medicare and BCBS were bills for a “nurse” to bring her a cup of meds every 6 hours and someone to take her vitals 3 times a day. Very concerning.

I spent 21 days at Life Care of Old Hickory and it was a great experience. The service was fantastic and the therapy (Occupational/Physical Therapy) was the greatest. The food here was to die for, looked forward to every meal being served. The facility was decorated so professional, warm, and homey. I really hate to leave the place, but it would be my choice of place to come when I am older. I did not know a place like this existed! I live only 3 miles from it, so it was very convenient to stay at.
