Worst experience! Do not put your loved ones here. Food is awful, cleaning people don’t show most of the time, if you need care there’s nobody around at night. They reeled us in and are slowly removing services and constantly raising the rent. When the cleaning people do show up, they do a terrible job. The apartment is always filthy. Now they’ve taken away all of the pull carts for people to use to haul groceries, trash, etc.

My parents moved in this place at the end of December. The facility is very nice. Before we moved in, I had a detailed meeting with the management trying to inform them on how specifically to deal with my elderly father with dementia. They really didn’t want to listen to what I had to say. They claimed to be experts and acted as if everyone with dementia was the same. After blowing off my recommendations, the experience has not been good. They have not done a good job of taking care of my parents. They are supposed to clean their assisted living apartment 2 times a week as well as laundry atleast one time a week. I had several interactions with the director of nursing about the issues. Instead of trying to come up with solutions, she would blame my 89 year old father. I had a meeting with the executive director about these issues and things have somewhat improved. I have got to know the nurses and caregivers and they are good overall. The morale of the workers seem a bit low because of the management. I would dig deep before committing a loved one to this place.

I find it just OK. I came from another facility in Florida. The food there was 100% better!!! I see that not many residents participate in the daily activities and that a resident runs them (without much knowledge of how to operate the equipment.

I used to live alone and was on the line of living in a facility like this. I came and did a tour and fell in love with the apartment and have been here since. I would say that food is definitely above average especially when you’re a picky eater like me. I’ve been telling my friends and family about this place and will continue to do so! It’s an open community that is very inclusive and welcoming!

Harmony at Mt. Juliet has taken care of my loved one in Memory Care for over a year. They are kind, compassionate, and hardworking. No place is perfect, but I can share with you that Harmony has bent over backwards to do the right thing and give the best care possible. They have become like family to me. All too often they only hear the negative, mostly from people that they will clearly NEVER make happy. I have watched the employees handle these situations with patience and class. My loved one is happy and loved. I would hands down recommend Harmony to anyone considering Memory Care for their loved one. There’s a reason they are full. Harmony is the of the best of the best.

I've been at Harmony for almost a year now and I can happily say i enjoy my stay here. At the same time there is room for improvement in different aspects but overall this it is a lovely, engaging community for older people like myself.Its like one big family that I would recommend

I enjoy living in a facility like this and making lovely new friends and enjoying my independence in my retirement. I don't really have anything negative to say but as In different places there's things I see that could be improved. I recommend Harmony all the time to those around me

This is not a safe place for your loved one. My mother lived in the Memory Care unit for almost nine months. The care was subpar at best, medically negligent the majority of the time.

You may be thinking... "The place is beautiful! The members of the staff I spoke to were lovely!" and I would say, yes, that is true! BUT consider these things…
• Residents have walked out of the secure section. I know of three this Spring and one from last fall. (The facility has been charged a monetary penalty for resident elopement for last year’s. You can read about it on the TN Department of Health website.)
• Local staff does not implement regional/national programs for training caregivers and/or nurses or available fall prevention methods or post-fall assessments.
• The clinical team does not monitor medication administration, and the techs and nurses often skip doses of prescriptions altogether, even though the cart reports indicate otherwise.
• It has happened that medications have been administered to the wrong resident, or in an incorrect manner.
• Doctor's orders are often ignored and not added to the system.
• They don't monitor meal intake or weight loss. Your person will not eat at meals, lose a lot of weight and none of that will be communicated to you OR their physician.
• Assistance with bathing, brushing teeth, toileting, and other activities of daily living is hit or miss, depending on the caregiver assigned to your person on any given day. The vast majority of mom's time at Harmony, I would be the only person to help her shower.

If your person is going to be placed in Memory Care, please PLEASE do your due diligence. Speak to family members of multiple current residents. Don’t get sidetracked by the shiny facility and/or the excellent activities team. I promise, until the local leadership is replaced and care programs are implemented, your loved one will suffer and your stress level will be through the roof.
