My dad seems happy and the nurses were good today. He speaks highly of all current caregivers. He’s been at Franklin Wellness since June 2024. I will be posting again because staff change and situations constantly change.

First time to visit Franklin Wellness Center. Greeter was very helpful signing me in. Plenty of Care worrkers per patient. Food looked very good and smelled great. Very impressed with cleanest! Professional staff.

One star is way too nice for this place. I had a dear friend that ended up here as it was the only place that would accept him at the time that was within traveling distance of the family. Little did we know it would be the place that killed him. Even though he was an elderly friend, he still had a lot of life left in him until Franklin Wellness. While there he was severely neglected, drugged so that he acted like a stroke victim, not given food or water, left to lie in his bed or left in a gerri chair for hours without clothes on, left in depends and/or diapers for hours covered in filth and so much more. When he was clothed he was not wearing HIS clothes. We are still not sure where those clothes came from and what other poor resident was lying naked as my friend was wearing their clothes. Some of the staff was nice, however very very few of them were ever witnessed actually doing their job. Most of them hung out at the nurses station laughing and on their phones while patients aimlessly wandered the hallways, or were left in their rooms screaming. The administration was less than stellar. They were argumentative, somewhat rude, and would not listen to the wishes of the family.

Oh, and lets not talk about the condition of the facility. Once you walked past the reception area, which was cute, the hallways smelled of urine and feces. The walls were in need of repair and a fresh coat of paint. Some of the hallways were dark and depressing. It was not a happy place to be.

Within the two weeks that my friend was there he went from being able to have a conversation full of sarcastic comments to not even knowing you were in the room. He would be convulsing like he was having a seizure from the meds they were giving him to keep him from getting up, and babbling like a baby. It was horrific to see him in this state when just a few days prior to being at Franklin Wellness he was "normal". We were able to get him out under "emergency" circumstances and got him to the hospital, however it was too late. He was in full blown renal failure due to severe dehydration and he was malnourished due to lack of food. He was in the hospital for five days where he died from the severe neglect, and what I deem abuse. Even though he was not my family, he was like a second father to me and I loved him very much. Our world is a little less bright as his life was snuffed out way too soon by this horrible facility and the lack of care he received. We trusted them to rehab him so he could go back to his independent life, but instead they took his life from him and now ours will never be the same.

I would NOT recommend sending any one to this facility unless there is massive changes made. Changes need to start at the TOP, I would suggest the corporate level as they apparently don't care what happens at their facilities or to the individuals entrusted to their care, and work down from there. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect regardless if they are millionaires or medicare/medicaid patients and this place does NOT treat anyone that way.

Excellent team of nurses and administrative staff. I would definitely recommend any of my loved ones to the facility. The staff and administration goes above and beyond to take care of their resident’s needs. They truly provide quality and safe patient care.

The facility has a wonderful new administration. Grateful for the care they give the residents.

Although there are a few excellent staff members here, the medical care for patients with severe medical needs is lacking. Most of the nursing staff are temps so they are not aware of the patient history. We were able to move our family member to a different facility and they have improved.
