I just spent a wonderful couple of hours touring the center with Glenda Spears. Glenda and the staff were delightful. The entire staff obviously enjoyed working here, and it was evident they care for their seniors. We had a great tour and delicious lunch. They made it all so welcoming and warm, and I want to thank her/them for the experience.

Very impressed with the quality of care and attention the residents receive. We recently moved my mother to this location and although she is having difficulty adapting to her new situation, the administration and entire staff have been extremely helpful in easing this transition for her. The administration and staff, from the attendants, custodians, cooks, nurses, office staff to the executive director, all are available and very willing to respond to any questions or requests. We are hopeful that with the special care and attention my mother has received she will adapt to her new home and we look forward to a successful and continuing relationship with Brookdale.

The staff is the most professional and caring. The staff truly loves interacting with the residents and makes them feel valuable. i love visiting not only my family member but other residents as well. I feel that the residents are my family, too. Thank you, Brookdale Medical Center Whitby!

Aloha! Brookdale Whitby hosted a Hawaiian aloha event for residents and families July 24, 2019. There was limbo, bubble blowing to "Tiny Bubbles", a delicious Hawaiian meal, Hawaiian DJ, lots of grass skirts, leis, and decorations. Fun, fun, fun! Aloha!

This facility like so many right now, struggle to get personnel & keep them. One can always find fault through these struggles. However, there are many key workers here who always reply and communicate and have created a strong base which have proven to be reliable over and over. Shelbee wears so many hats and yet she comes through for me ALWAYS. She is the rock that holds the facility together. Michelle, Mike, Brianna, & Ebony + many others are so friendly and their kindness shines through in the work that they do with apparent joy. I feel it is a great place and has benefited my loved one to no end. It's so nice to walk in and find cheerful staff and a welcoming environment. My hat is off to those who work from their hearts in this small homey facility.

This place will tell you what you to hear. And promise you the world for you loved one who is to be a resident. Shortly after they take your money and con you into auto withdraw . Your loved one just becomes a dollar sign for the finance director Michelle Flores
And the facility director Shelbee.

They blatantly fied to our face and when called out on their lies became hostile and stopped responding to our complaints.

We observed many violations which were reported to Brookdale headquarters.

Food is terrible. Cafeteria loaded with nats and fruit flies. There are better options . We just found out to late.

The staff is amazing. They are so friendly and super kind. I am currently looking for a wonderful environment for my aging mother. When the day comes that she will need more care then I can provide Brookdale Whitby will be at the top of our list. God bless you all.

My mom has been living at Whitby for a year and although she was against a nursing home, she loves her place a Whitby.
Assisted living gives her the independence she wants while getting the help she needs.
We are very pleased with the great team of attendants, nurse, office personnel and cook.
Living in community with other people her age has been great for our mom.

I had a visit today of the facility. Loved the atmosphere and the employees. They were actually interacting with the residence. It was very peaceful there. It was also clean and the courtyard was nice. I’m glad that I decided to visit the facility and know that this will be a great fit for our family.
